Registration gives you access to your mytolltickets section, where you can look up your orders, download invoices, manage vehicle data, and check all registered toll transactions.
You may order the toll box from us as early as six weeks before your journey starts and thus make reservations. Upon placing your order please appoint a date of preferred shipment (e.g. next workday). The entry is made on the first shopping cart page. We will ship the box by regular mail at the latest on the date of your preference–in most cases earlier in order to guarantee secure delivery prior to your travel date. In this regard, your preference date will always be taken as the time when the provision of your toll box commences. Delivery within Germany requires 1-3 workdays, and 4-7 workdays within Europe. Please be sure to consider the time required for delivery when entering the date of shipment.
Service fees for the short-term use apply for the first 28 days, with the contract commencing 14 days after the toll box has been dispatched or from the day of the first transaction at the toll booth.
If the toll box is not returned within 12 months after dispatch, a change to a long-term contract will automatically take place.
We can ship your order on the next workday. Shipment in Germany requires 1-3 working days, and 4-7 working days within Europe. If we are to ship the device at a later date, or you would like to book the product earlier, then you may enter your preferred date of shipment from tolltickets on the first page of the shopping cart. You can order toll boxes up to six weeks in advance.
In general, we send the device to all countries all over the world. However, it must be observed that postal delivery to countries outside Europe might take 2 to 3 weeks. We therefore recommend that you state your first travel destination in Europe as your address of delivery, e.g. your first hotel. Please inform the recipient in advance about the order shipment you are to receive.
After having successfully ordered, you will soon receive our automatic order confirmation. Please read it carefully and inform us without delay if you want to make any changes. Please consider that we cannot make any changes to a booked Hungarian toll ticket. If the payment transaction by our bank could not be fully completed, our system will cancel your order automatically after several hours.
In order to guarantee punctual delivery we oftentimes dispatch the device several days before your preferred shipment date. But even if we ship your order at an earlier date, you will not incur any surcharges for a short-term use of the toll box, as your preferred shipping date will provide the basis for the commencement of the rent-free period.
After registration, our system utilizes so-called session cookies. Should the acceptance of cookies be deactivated in your browser settings, the shopping cart will be deleted right after your registration. In such case you will have to activate the acceptance of cookies (at least the session cookies) in your browser settings. Note: Session cookies do not store private data. instead, only an unequivocal ID will be generated which is used for purposes of communication between your browser and our internet server. Session cookies will be deleted once you close your browser.
As you are forwarded to a system belonging to our bank for you to enter your credit card data, we do not possess any immediate influence on the navigation of the page. The problem described will appear only in rare cases and with some browser types (particularly the Internet Explorer), if you have not activated the option “META REFRESH” in your browser settings. Depending on the payment modality, the banking system will open various pages. If your browser inhibits forwarding the page will “freeze”. In such cases we will interrupt the payment process automatically after a certain length of time and the order will be automatically cancelled. A payment will not be executed. Once you activate the “META REFRESH” option in your browser’s internet settings the payment transaction should proceed without problem. Alternatively, you may also place your order again by using either another browser or another personal computer.
Before you are entitled to use your BP PLUS / Aral Card petrol card you must activate the purchase of products from tolltickets in your petrol card portal (BP Account Manager / Aral Card Customer Center). You will then have to wait for another 15 minutes before you will be able to place your order at tolltickets.
There are concessions for bearers of a severely handicapped pass in all countries. However, they can usually be received by persons who are residents of the respective country and upon submitting an application to the toll road operator. Unfortunately, we have no access to these concessions. As and when needed, please inquire at the toll road operator.
All toll transactions will be sent to us a few days after they have been registered. You can look them up under mytolltickets. Usually we will balance your account once or twice per month, including all toll transactions which we will have received until the day of settlement.

Usually the toll road operators send us registered toll transactions within a period of 14 days. Our invoice settles all the toll transactions which we have received until the day of settlement. Unfortunately it occasionally happens that we receive toll transactions with delay. These transactions will then be balanced only in the process of one of our next automatic invoicing procedures. All balanced toll transactions including their registration dates will be printed on page 2 of the invoice and can thus be easily reviewed.
Once we receive new toll transactions from the toll road operators we will settle open accounts in intervals of once or twice per month. Invoicing proceeds directly after a settlement run and the means of payment will be debited.
The invoiced amount will be drawn from your bank account directly after invoicing. If your account is not sufficiently covered, we will charge a fee of 15 EUR for each return debit entry. Please take care that your account is always covered when generating toll transactions with your toll box.
With each account clearance you will receive an invoice from us which contains all settled toll transactions including the stated sales tax (VAT) of the country that charged the toll. For example, you will receive from us an Italian invoice for toll transactions registered in Italy, including a statement of 22% sales tax (VAT), or a French invoice including the registered French toll transactions with a statement of 20% sales tax (VAT). As toll in Europe is a property payment, i.e. it is not a movable commodity or service provision, European tax laws do not permit the application of a reverse charge. Instead, an international invoice must be issued. In this context, our service fees are seen as an ancillary service next to the principal service and must also include—like the toll transaction—international sales tax (VAT). Note: Toll is a tax in some countries and therefore it does not include any sales tax (VAT).
The European Commission is currently working on the harmonization of toll systems, however, all systems applicable to vehicles below 3.5t are currently not compatible with each other. For this reason, you will have to purchase separate toll products for each country that charges toll. One exception at present is our AutoPass Tollbox. It can be used in Norway, Sweden and Denmark. And our combined toll box “TIS-PL” can be used for heavy mobile homes taller than 3m and weighing more than 3.5t in France and in Spain.
We recommend the short-term use for tourists or if you will use the toll box only once in a year. Long-term use makes sense if you use the toll box several times in a year.
The daily service fees start 14 days after the toll product has been dispatched from tolltickets or from the day of the first recorded transaction at the toll station (whichever comes first) and ends with return at tolltickets (inbox date). These fees are limited to max. 28 days.

Yes, the toll box can also be used in a rental car. Please enter the license plate number of your privately owned vehicle when you place your order. The license number can be changed on our portal when the hire car is received. Alternatively, you may send us an email or SMS stating the order number plus the license plate number and the country in which the vehicle has been registered. You may request the SMS number for our license plate number modification system after you place your order. A license plate change is absolutely necessary for toll boxes used in Italy, Portugal and Scandinavia. Please do not change the license number before receiving the hire car and then re-register the Tollbox back to your private vehicle as soon as possible after handing back the hire car. This prevents charges for trips driven by previous or following lessees. The license plates must not be necessarily changed for Spain and France. A valid license suffices in these countries. Note for Portugal: If a toll transaction of one of our toll boxes cannot be recognized properly, it can be cleared by the car rental company if this company has also allocated a toll box to the vehicle.
The annual fee commences after shipment for a period of 12 months. It is thus independent of the calendar year. If you do not return the toll box within a period of 12 months (date of reception at tolltickets) then the contract will be automatically prolonged for one whole year.
The contract expires when you return the toll box. As soon as we have received the toll box the contract terminates automatically. Please not that we will still charge incoming toll transactions after the toll box has been returned. If the toll box in use for the long term has not been returned within a period of 12 months (date of reception at tolltickets) then the contract will be automatically prolonged for another whole year.
No, because the vehicle and/or the trailer will be measured and classified directly at the toll station.
The metalized packaging bag will only be supplied when the toll box is shipped into the country in which it can be used (for example, if we ship the French toll box to France), or if we receive word from you that you intend to return the toll box to us from this country. You do not need the bag for shipments or return shipments outside the country in which the toll box was used. The bag serves the purpose of preventing transactions due to shipment, when the post vehicle drives through the toll station. The metalized coating of the bag prevents communication with the toll station.
The batteries will last ca. 5 – 7 years. Please approach the toll station slowly, if the toll box has not be used for a longer period of time.

Yes, you may certainly install our toll boxes in a distance of approx. 10cm to your windshield even at the time of your travel date. Please also note the information given in our instruction leaflet which is enclosed to our shipment.
In a car, the toll box must be attached to the windshield near the rear-view mirror. In case of mobile homes/trailers and lorries it must be attached to the windshield above the dashboard. Please check beforehand whether your vehicle possesses a coated windshield. All vehicles that have a coated windshield always have a small area without coating , to which the toll box must be installed. Its exact location is usually described in the vehicle’s manual. It is often distinguished by a special color and is located near the rear-view mirror. Most automobile manufacturers mark this area with an array of small black dots.
Yes, you have to affix postage for the return shipment. The address labels only contain our address.
Please send the toll box back to the following address: tolltickets GmbH, Kaiserstraße 28, 83022 Rosenheim, Germany. For returning please use a bubble wrapped envelope or put the toll device in a shockproof packaging. In order to process the returned device, please put our address label on the return envelope which was included in the delivery. Please note that the return envelope must be prepaid.
Yes, after we have received the toll box and booked it back into our system you will receive a return shipment confirmation by email.
No, normally you do not. Only if you ship the toll box directly from the country in which it has been used should you put the toll box into our metalized bag. Alternatively, you may also use commercially available aluminum foil to wrap the toll box up in it.
Paper vignettes are not coupled to license plate numbers. They are coupled to the vehicle once they are attached to the windshield. Please be aware that the vignette will be destroyed when it is removed from the windshield and cannot be used any more afterwards. Please also note that the vignette will only be valid if it is stuck to the windshield. If the vignette is only put on the dashboard, it will not be valid and you will risk a fine in case of a routine traffic check. However, an electronic vignette, for example, like the Hungarian vignette, is coupled to the license plate number.
Due to the provisions of the Slovenian government we are entitled to dispatch the 1-month vignette only from its initial day of validity onwards. You must therefore additionally consider the time needed to deliver the vignette. If you only require a vignette for traveling through the country, you may alternatively order two 7-day vignettes. We may send these vignettes in advance, whereby you may enter your desired travel dates in the course of the ordering process.
At present, an additional vignette for your trailer will only be required in Switzerland.
You can order the emissions sticker by using our portal, if you send us a download copy of your vehicle registration certificate. The copy must display the license plate number, the date of initial registration, and the type of fuel (gasoline, diesel, etc.) the engine needs. After we have received the copy of the vehicle registration certificate, we will assess and classify the vehicle. Afterwards you will receive an email confirmation from us. Once you have receive confirmation that the vehicle has been classified you will be able to place your order by using our portal.
From mid-2013 onward, there will only be emission zones in Germany which only vehicles displaying a green emissions sticker (EURO IV or better) may access, and to some extent those displaying a yellow emissions sticker (EURO III). As emission zones into which vehicles with a red emissions sticker(EURO II) may enter no longer exist, we no longer offer the red emissions sticker to our customers.
